"Hi Mom, It was so good to see you through the window on your birthday! Even though you kept telling us you weren't 96. I know some have come in to see you but I dont know if you can hear us through the masks. I miss taking to you. I hope the weather warms up so we can be outside more and you can go outside too. All is well with us and all your family. You saw Sydney's baby through the window. She turned 1 this month! I can't believe it. Dan and Trina are expecting their 4th child the end of May. It's a boy! So 3 girls and 1 boy. Here are some photos. The first is all your children except Amy. 7 boys and me. This was outside the window on your birthday. 2nd is...

"Just thinking of you. Missing you so much! Hoping your days are good and that spring is here soon. We are already at almost 100 degrees here in Arizona. Hoping that the babies are all doing well. Hoping to make a trip to visit you in August this year. Looking forward to it so much. Staying busy at work with the Spring Break crowd at the Restaurant. Also had 5 employees out at once with COVID. So far we have been able not to get it. I am attaching some photos that made me think of you!"

"Hello Grandma, just wanted to drop a quick note and tell you I was thinking of you. Sorry I haven’t been up to visit. I haven’t been up to Iowa in awhile now. Spring is finally here, and we’re getting the yard and house cleaned. We will be putting in new hardwood flooring and building a master bedroom. Super excited to get the process over. My daycare is doing great, Matt is still working hard every day making sure everyone’s lights turn on. Addison and Nathan is still home remote learning. The twins got to return which was great! Quiet for a bit. Nothing new going on with me, just working and cleaning. Anyways I hope your doing well and having some fun. I’m sure you give those CNAs a run around. Be nice to them. Talk to you later,...

Makes me think of long car trips with you and Pedro!!! Andie just wrapped up cheerleading and show choir and now track is starting. Abbie is doing well at Iowa- she was in the deans list and is meeting new people and having fun! We will be glad to have her home this summer. I hope you are doing well- we will be down this spring to do some yard work for mom and dad.... I hope by then we will be able to visit- but if not we will stop by and wave!! Love you! Maggie"

"Happy Valentine’s Day Grandma! I hope you know just how very much you are loved, today and every day!! I wish I could drive down right now to see you and give you a great big hug, then just sit and talk for hours- and maybe one day soon that can happen...once all the “virus stuff” is over. I’m sorry that I haven’t written or called in a very long time. It’s hard for me to know what to say, but I will try to do better for you. I hope things are going well at your new place and that you’ve made some amazing new friends. I think the last time I wrote you was before my wedding. I got married to Jesse Dale on August 29th 2020- you had met him a few times before you moved to...

We have spoke often of you and wanted to make a trip to Winterset, but Covid changed all of that. Quite a cold winter. I hope you are happy and healthy! May God richly bless you."

"Hello grandma. Wanted to send another note. At least share pictures. I hope your doing well. I hope your also getting these. I don’t talk to Dad and Tammy or Adam anymore. I hope they are all fine. I know Jennifer will take care of Adam. I hate that your in a nursing home instead at home but I understand. I want to come visit but this Covid stuff in Quincy is bad. I’ve been homeschooling the boys and we don’t go out public much. The kitties here are getting tired of the boys being around 24/7. Raven walks around meowing because she likes the laser lights. Always wanting the dang boys to play with her or she has to sleep with Matt. Libby our other fur baby is to stuck up for adults. She can only be touched by...

"Hello Grandma, hope you are doing well. I haven’t heard any updates from anyone. I hope your Christmas was good, and that the Covid hasn’t done to much damage up your way. Anyways here’s a couple pictures. Kids are doing well, Kristi moved to Florida, Kimi moved to Mo and has two step kids. So I get to be a grandma. Nathan is starting to drive, Addison is so smart! He’s been in honor classes!! He’s 13 now and has my attitude. But he’s still a great kid. Jacob is 10 now, he’s such a great awesome kid. He looks like his dad, but I don’t hold that against him. And sweet Andrew who’s also 10, loves cats!! He’s all about cats. We have two kitties (libby and Raven) and three dobermans ( max Zeus and Thor) Also here’s a...

"Hey Mom, I hope you are doing well and were able to celebrate the holidays with your friends. Gail and I were able to spend the holidays with Hunter and Katelyn and Gail's siblings, but due to the continued COVID precautions we really weren't able to get together with others over the last few months. It has been pretty quiet. Sharon did send some photos of you decorating cookies at the facility where you are staying. It was nice to see you, if only in photos. It looks like you are doing well and staying healthy/busy. I have been busy at work, and Gail is busy as well with teaching. I haven't been traveling, so has been an adjustment to be working from home all the time. The kids (Hunter and Katelyn) are both scheduled to graduate from their respective...
