Every year we host an Independence Day Celebration for our residents, staff, and families. We start off our event honoring the men and women from our facility who have fought for our country followed by a picnic where we grill hamburgers and hotdogs.
In the past we have had a variety of activities for all ages including: bounce house, dunk tank, raffle drawings, face painting, and numerous carnival games such as plinko, pig race, ski ball, and corn hole. This year we are adding musical entertainment provided by Rich Patten as well as extra treats such as cotton candy and sno cones.
We end our event with a firework show to celebrate our independence. It is so much fun to see the residents light up during this special day and to allow them to participate in such a wonderful way.
