Nakia has been with Azria Health Montclair for over 2.5 years. She has worked her way up in healthcare from the kitchen, to a RN, and now ADON. Cassidy is currently going to school for her RN. She is from Pisgah, Iowa. She has a brother and sister and she loves shopping and sleeping! Her favorites are black licorice and iced coffee!

I live in rural Nebraska with my husband, who is retired from the Army. Our son is in the Army Aviation and our daughter is in the Army Airborne division. We are a military family! We have two spoiled dogs. In my spare time I enjoy reading, painting, camping, and watching Hulu and Netflix.

What I enjoy most about working for Azria Health is teaching others the “how to” oh capturing a complete picture of the residents we care for and I absolutely LOVE meeting the Azria Health family teammates in all the facilities.

My favorite motto is: “Your actions today may he the only sermon someone needs to hear.”

Kathy and her husband James live a very busy life keeping up with their farm. They raise livestock, and stay very active with their children and grandchildren. One of Kathy’s most favorite things to do is take her entire family to the state fair. Rumor has it she can dance an awesome chicken dance at the fair.

Jolene has been a CNA/CMA with Azria for 5 years. We cannot say enough good things about her. She is the queen of pick-up, and has worked endless hours in the Red Unit. In addition, she is the first to volunteer with room moves, and help out with any task no matter the size. We are very fortunate to have her here at Azria Health Park Place.

Crissy’s knowledge, kindness, and experience is an absolute blessing for the residents and caregivers at Park Place as she’s always willing to lend a helping hand, educate our caregivers and residents on our processes, and just being there to listen. The staff here at Azria Health Sutherland got together and picked our Hero of the week. And we proudly present our pick Ashley Johnson. Ashley started working here at the facility when she was only 16. She started as an aide helping others, which she loves to do. But if anyone knows Ashley, you know that when she puts her heart into things nothing can stop her. Over the years Ashley has worked her way to becoming the Administrator. Ashley is an amazing co worker and on any given day you will see Ashley running the halls and working side by side with the aides, nurses, maintenance, or housekeeping. Or cooking delicious meals for the residents. Ashley is an incredible person and co worker. And she inspires each and every one of us to shoot for the stars cause if you work hard you will get there. Ashley loves talking with the residents and getting to know them and their families. And she makes sure that she lets them know she loves them. We are the facility we are because of people like you Ashley. “My Captain, My Captain”.

Ameiliyah, better known to us as Milly, is a very caring person and always willing to help out. We have been short-staffed in Dietary so she was willing to help in the evening after her shift and do dishes. She is flexible to move from housekeeping to laundry when asked and will stay late to help with all the extra duties we are needing at this time.

Ugochi started nursing school after being a CNA for over a decade. One day she decided to take the Nursing entry exam, she scored so high, the nursing school immediately accepted her into the nursing program. Stacey was chosen as this week’s Hero because she steps-up wherever she is needed to make sure our residents’ needs are being met. Stacey lives in Ellinwood, Kansas and has been a nurse for the past 28 years. Stacey joined the Woodhaven Team in 2014 as a PRN Nurse and transitioned into the MDS Coordinator position in 2016. Stacey really likes fulfilling her role as the MDS Coordinator and is a strong team member at Azria Health Woodhaven. Stacey has four children, “mostly grown” and one grandson. She and her family love sports of all kinds. In her earlier years, Stacey was active in Basketball and Volleyball and today she has a daughter that is playing Volleyball for Hesston College in Hesston, Kansas. Congratulations, Stacey!
